Tom Kitten and his sisters, Moppet and Mittens, are always up to mischief. In the first story their mother dresses them up in their best clothes for a tea party, but by the time the guests arrive, the kittens' escapades in the garden have quite spoilt their appearance. Mr. Jeremy Fisher goes out to catch some minnows for a party of his own and encounters some unexpected surprises on his fishing expedition. In The Tale of Benjamin Bunny, Benjamin persuades his cousin, Peter Rabbit, to venture once again into the forbidden territory of Mr. McGregor's garden. And in the final story, excitement awaits Pigling Bland when he has to rescue the little black pig, Pigwig, from the clutches of the suspicious Mr. Piperson. All four stories are set in the beautiful Lake District countryside where Beatrix Potter made her home.
